The media and documents are kept in lockable metal-boxes located in a 24-hour air-conditioned room which is protected with a fire suppression system, smoke and heat detectors, fire-proof rated walls and 24-hour surveillance. The transportation of media between our clients’ facilities and SDC can also be arranged if required. SDC also offers Escrow Services whereby a storage cabinet will be provided for the Customer to store their software, source-code, printout or documentation.

SDC cloud offerings allow companies of different sizes to subscribe to an ICT infrastructure on a pay-per-use billing model and enjoy lower total cost. Our clients will be able to reap the benefits from the economics of scales through our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) while mitigating the operational, security and control risks of cloud computing.

SDC’s team of System Engineers provide expertise in Operations, Operating Systems and Communications. They are readily available to assist clients during system testing, disaster simulation and actual recovery operations.

SDC’s operations team and key support personnel maintain and supervise the recovery centre 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The warm-site houses systems like an IBM ES/9000 mainframe, HP 9000, WINTEL, SUN and IBM AS/400. Each system is equipped with the necessary peripherals to form a functional system, Viz disk storage, reel tape drives, cartridge tape drives, terminal controllers, terminals, printers, and communication controllers. If required, other equipment will also be installed to provide total recovery solutions to clients. The warm-site is cooled by multiple units of precision air-conditioners with N+1 configuration. A double-knob pre-action system, complete with smoke and heat detection systems protects the recovery centre.

SDC’s network control centre possesses a capacity for more than five hundred conventional telecommunication lines and fibre optical cables from 2Mbps up to more than 155Mbps. SDC’s services in the telecommunications area include assistance to apply for the various telecommunication facilities required to link up the clients’ remote branches/offices to the facilities in SDC.
