Fuel Management System is used to maintain, control and monitor fuel consumption and stock in any type of industry that uses transport such as fleet of buses, trucks, ships and etc. Fuel management systems are designed to effectively measure and manage the usage of fuel. They are typically used for fleets of vehicles, including railway vehicles and aircraft, as well as any vehicle that requires fuel to operate. FMS employs various methods and technologies to monitor and track fuel inventories, fuel purchases and fuel dispensed. This information can be then stored in computerised systems for report generation or analytics. This data also enables consumption control, cost analysis and tax accounting for fuel purchases.
Strateq is a supplier and authorised Service Partner of Hectronic FMS in Malaysia. Typically, our FMS configuration consists of three components:-
An outdoor terminal that has interface to pumps
For identification of vehicles including drivers, etc.
For control of Terminal, other features include reporting, basic analytic, import/export of data and etc.
How Automatic Vehicle Recognition (AVR) Works
The Vehicle drives up to the forecourt
The receiver sends the data to the pump terminals or the Forecourt Controller, which initiates vehicle authorisation
The driver puts the nozzle into the tank of the vehicle
Upon authorization, the corresponding nozzle is released automatically
The vehicle tag is scanned by the nozzle unit
If the driver takes out of the vehicle’s tank, the fuelling is stopped immediately (Nozzle-out function
The nozzle unit transfers the vehicle recognition by radio to the station receiver
Once the fuelling process has been finished the vehicle and tank data are saved for further processing and passed on to the back office system.
Port Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas (PTP)
• Integrated all fuel dispenser to fuel management terminal to track each litre issued at fuel station
• Identified diesel using equipment via Automatic Vehicle Recognition
• Tracked and analysed diesel usage for each equipment via batch update to central database
• Increased rapid vehicle throughputs during peak hours for refuelling
• Increased data accuracy to 99.9% by eliminating human error
• Reduced fuel pilferage to less than 0.01%
• Reduced fuel reconciliation accuracy below 0.5% as per industry standard
Automatic tank gauge (ATG) systems measure the levels of liquids inside tanks with the help of probes. These probes consist of long rods that house certain number of sensors known as floats. The position of the floats informs the operator sitting at the ATG console about the amount of petroleum product present in the tank. Apart from measuring the petroleum levels, the probe rod also houses thermistors that measure the liquid temperature.
An ATG console machine is connected electronically to all the storage tanks located inside the main facility and displays all the internal views of a storage tank to the operator sitting at the console.
Strateq is supplier and authorised Service Partner of Hectronic ATG in Malaysia. Typically, our ATG configuration consists of four components:-
Customers are on-boarded via a mobile payment app
The ANPR system will recognise the customers' registered vehicle
Customers register their vehicle number(s) in the app
Customers refuel their vehicles
Customers drive their registered vehicles into an enabled station
Transaction will be charged to the customers' respective account
